About 500 miles ago, I redid the brakes on my car (98 SVT EO). I had the rotors turned, and I installed Mintex A/F pads front and rear. I liked them at first, but now I have a squeaking problem.

Basically, when I'm at "parking lot speeds" applying the brakes and I turn the wheel left or right, there is a loud squeak that appears to be coming from the front. There is no squeak when braking straight, nor is there squeaking when turning at "road speeds".

Anybody have an idea what is wrong? Since I did the brake job myself, I'm wondering if I screwed something up?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you follow the break in procedure for the pads? Very important...

Did you use shims or atleast the "brake quiet" on the backs of the pads?

Oh no, the "break in procedures". Since I'm not sure what they were, me thinks I didn't follow them. What are they? Man, I feel like an idiot......
