Just a thought but If no one has info on Cobra SVT brakes for the 'tour .. I just noticed in my review of the new Jax X series that it uses 11.6 front and 11.0 rears ... Since there is a fair Mondeo content in the Jag ... I wonder .... hmmmm

Any UK members (British Banger maybe) have any ideas ... Terry ??? There must be a Ford parts bin solution to our quest for more stopping power somewhere ... and factory parts are generally (but not always) cost competitive and fairly easy to replace .. but that's just my .02

Remeber that the X-type will not be available to the public until august.
That said, the X has 5 lug hubs, prolly easier to fit the Cobra rotors.

about the parts bin solution i thought i might bring up the new focus svt. it has 300mm front rotors where as we have 270 (as always corret me if im wrong) that would be the increase most people would be looking for. the only thing is will these breakes work for the tour. are the just extended brackets and will it bolt to the tour in correct position...if everything works out by the bracket from ford the discs and pads from your fav supplier and well be good to go

I think the SVT Focus brakes will be the best bet for a parts bin solution. More than likely the rotors will fit right on and the calipers can probably be done w/ just a bracket change.
