My stock rotors have become badly warped over the winter and i want to replace the rotors and pads with something a bit more. I'd love drilled or slotted rotors but might not want to spend the $$$. so how much does this stuff cost? I'm looking for all 4 wheels, new rotors and pads for a 1998 se v6.
don't drink and drive.

Take a look at the kits from BAT or SPMotorsports.com Probably the best way to go if your replacing everything, cheaper too in the long run.
Cheers.

BAT does not seem to stand behind their product. I would send my money some other way.

You can still go for the bigger rotors and it does help. You can get the caliper brackets from Bill Jenkins or your local Ford dealer to use your existing calipers or you can buy the larger early SVT calipers. Rotors are about $30 each. The BAT econo (stock) rotors really are nicer than the standard auto-parts-chain-store rotors. A set of 8 pads can go from about $60 up. Check the BAT catalog, even if you don't buy there. I've had good results with their parts, but there is some very good brake info on their site. ------------------ Scott 95 SE-2.5L ATX

You can upgrade fairly cheaply now. Get Mintex pads from BAT - cleaner and they stop great. Upgrade to larger rotors by buying Cougar V6 aftermarket units. I paid <$60 each. If you do go the larger rotor route, and I think it is very worthwhile, you have to reposition the calipers by either buying the brackets from BAT, or more recently caliper brackets are now available from Ford. I got mine from Ascadero Ford - the web site is mentioned on the CEG site.

Everything that I've read suggests that you should not buy Ford rotors - they've been reported to warp quickly. I put Bendix rotors on my Tour and have been happy with them. Brinn Reily convinced me to do this, and he was also very satisfied with Bendix.
