I have Autospecialty rotors, and they warped after about 3 months. I'll be replacing them soon.

any help would be great I believe Autospecialty has several levels of rotors. The best ones are 'Powerstop' and are cadmium plated so the last longer before they rust, probably from inside the 'vents'. Look in the archive for more info, also on 'Dacromet' (or Dacromat) which used to be a plating on '70's or so Fords. Unless the brakes are used hard,or have not been broken in, I believe rusting prevents the rotors from cooling properly, and then warping. I have a '90 Aerostar that has had 4 sets of rotors in 100km. I am very easy on brakes. I plan to use the Powerstop plated rotors on it, the next time. The truck rarely gets much driving (except when I put an ATV or Ski-doo in the back). They also have "911" pads which give less dust. The kvr pads I think are similar. ------------------

The KVR pads suck in the rain. I have them on right now and they can be downright dangerous on the freeway in the Seattle rain. I'll be putting the BAT big brake kit C on in a couple weeks. Contourcross- Many people have had problems(including me)with PowerStop rotors. Warpage problems and I am not hard on brakes. If you must purchase X-drilled rotors, pick another brand. I went back to Raybestos rotors and have not had problems since.

I've had my powerstops for months now and no problems. In fact, I took a friend for a ride last week and I had to make a few emergency stops - he about sh!t his pants and commented on how good the brakes felt (from the Passenger side...). I told him "EBC Greenstuff's RULE" BTW the brackets, rotors and pads cost me less than the BAT big brake kits

Too bad I still have to burn the firerocks this summer. I locked them up with the stock pads, so EBC would be real overkill. Right now I went with mintex a/f. Maybe when I get real tires...
