I just bought a 95SE, fully loaded. It is a ATX(bummber, but I fell in love at first sight of the car). I was just wondering if there are some easy mods performance wise that I can do that won't cost me too much money. I just started watching this site, and I think you guys are awesome. Thanks!

KKM from here - http://www.kustomz.com/contour1.html Remove your Resonator with a straight pipe, can get this done at MIDAS for $25. Makes exhaust note deeper and gives a few ponnies Those two are in my opinion, the best mods to do first off. Then maybe either get a highflow muffler for the back or go big and get a cat-back, SVT's or borla, bassani, custom....all depends on $$$$. There are a bunch of sites in the link section at home page, check them out, browse around, you'll find stuff you like Have fun and welcome aboard

I ghear that the Superchip is rally supposed to make a difference in the Autos as it really firms up the shifts, saving a lot of time in your 0-60mph jaunt, as well as making more power. But do intake and exhaust mods first before you buy the chip and get the chip tweaked for those mods. It's your best bet.

Go see Mr. Terry Haines, drop him a load of cash and tell him to make your car fast. I think a few guys are doing this but they won't say exactly what is going into their cars.

Do the KKM tru-rev intake (about $100 or buy a used one off the classifieds for less), buy a used SVT exhaust off someone here on the CEG ($100 or less) and don't waste your money on a Chip (just my opinion ... don't flame me) . I did loads of research on the whole chip thing with my '95 SE ATX & about the only thing that could be guaranteed was that my top-speed limiter would be gone ... BIG DEAL ! The ATX learns your driving style & does a fine job shifting where you want it to . If you drive it hard , it will shift harder & higher . Trust me , I drove mine very hard . Including auto-crossing & drag racing on occasion . I'd spend that Chip money on some aesthetic mods , or maybe a REAR strut tower brace (although that cuts down on your space a bit when you must fold down your rear seat to haul something) . Or if you want a pretty good bang-for-the-buck mod , buy a GOOD set of tires . That will help with the handling of the car FAR more than any mod will on your '95 SE . That car is set up pretty darn good as-is . Good luck with your '95 SE & have fun with it ... I sure did !

Thanks for all the feedback, it has helped out a lot! I am going to get the True Rev intake, butmy question is, how hard is it to install. I really dont have a huge knowledge about cars, but I have a decent mechanical mind. Should I give it a try, or take it to the shop?
