ok this is more of a "problem" topic but I'm in a hurry.. to make a long story short.. timing belt slid off after a pully blew last semester(uh ,, october?) and i had all that good stuff replaced.. suposedly no enginr damage.. valve cover gasket was damaged.. replaced it and cleaned it all out and put in synthetics with a performance(haha  ) oil filter.. and the radiator hisses now when i stop.. well i said that wrong .. it has ever since the timing belt insident.. so im guessing it got damaged from overheating.. now.. my heat(h20) sensor must be broken(guess) cuz my guage show's cold ALL the time.. not to be stupid but.. HEY MAYBE THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT? :p any idea what the definite cause/problem is.? how much do new h20 temp sensors go for? and what else could it be.. PHEW laugh I appreciate any help you can offer from your YEARS( ) of experienc. smile thanks!

I'd check to make sure the sensor lead to the coolant temp sensor is hooked up. That would be the best place to start.

Hissing hose would indicate a leak. Though when the system is at operating temps it should more than just hiss (I.E. leak coolant as well)

Check your coolant level.
