I'm looking to buy an SVT exhaust kit. I've got a 95 LX. 2.5L V6 Duratec. Right now I'm in school in Daytona.

Btw, can't you just buy the bracket the muffler hanger goes on instead of making one. I have no skills in that area, and wouldn't know where to go to get one made anyway.

Thanks

Well....we'll let you slide on this one. Why don't you two Private Message each other from here....I don't have a problem with you guys arranging a trade of parts.....epecially since it might lead to a MEET!!!!!

Oh...as for the hangers...go look on the main ceg page and there is a link to the FAQs...it tells you the exact part numbers for the hanger. To install it...just call a local muffler shop and they'll put it on for you...less than $40. Or...we could have a MEET and we could put it on for you. We put on Chris' aka Friction back in October at Shaun's MEET!!!

MEET......MEET.......I want a MEET!!!!!

Carry on...... laugh

The hardest part is getting the old exhaust off. First time around it took me and Gator about an hour, and a lot of grunt on the two bolts from the cat.

Gutting the cats should take no more than 1/2 for each cat. The problem I ran into, however, was that I have a 95 and the front downpipe bolts were stuck and I had to strip the bolts to get them off. It took me two hours to get off two bolts. I doubt you will run into this problem. So figure 1 hour to hollow out the cats, 1 hour for jacking up the car and removing the y-pipe, and 1/2 to drive to Meineke to have them weld the hole you drilled in the front downpipe. Side note. Do not do this on a Sunday as most muffler shops are closed(you may have to drive around with a noisy car, I speak from experience laugh )

As for the SVT exhaust, no more than 1 hr. If you really know how to weld (or if you know how to screw on the bracket), even less time.

You will notice a big difference when you do this.

One thing you will need: PB Blaster

If you guys have not tried this for stuck/rusted nuts and bolts, you are missing out. Stuff makes liquid srench look like water.
