I was wondering what I could do with my Instrument Cluster. I was wondering if you could take an SVT Contour white faced gauges and put it in a 95 contour SE. And if it was possible, would it be accurate? How would I go about and do it if it was possible? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Not possible unless you change some other stuff.
The 96 and up are electronic driven speedo's, The 95 is cable driven.

You'd be better off buying the white guages from the link above. It's simply a new face.

Putting in SVT ones is much more difficult b/c the speed sensor is different, and all the electronics are different. Not to mention it would say SVT on it.

Yeah i cant imagine it being accurate at all. I mean your has what, 130mph top and the SVT has 160mph. I would imagine the needle would read incorrectly. I would go with the white face dials from BNMotorsports (link above). I want those two. I think they look great laugh

Oh and yeah...Thecontouguy has a point, it would have SVT on the REV dial....You don't want that...do you?

Different computer interface as well. Going from OBD1 to OBD 2 I don't know if it would work at all.

i put the white svt gauges in my 98 se tour the only is in the gauge itself
so if you put the whole svt cluster in a 97 and up v6 you will not have to recalibrate anything but the fuel gauge

98 se mtx
k&n air filter custom short shifter
intake res removed
SVT Exhaust shoshop off road ypipe
svt clutch pres. plate ,flywheel, and trans
SVT gauges
SVT front bumper
SVT wheels
fogs /parking

airbox baffles removed

i replaced the whole computer electronic as well as the faces and it hasnt seem to give me any problems. i recalibrated the speedo and drove side by side by my friend at 40 and placed the needle on there. then we got on the highway and drove about 75 next to each other, and both read the same. dunno if it would be accurate at like say 110+ but i dont drive that fast anyways.
