Does anyone know where I can find a NOS kit for my SVT. I know that the system is practically the same as the one used in the Taurus SHO 3.0, which is a return-type fuel system. Also I know that the it is p/n 5120. Anybody that has or knows anything about the kit please let me know.
Thanks, Juan Garcia

Talk to Neil (T-RedSVT). Other than being ugly as hell, he does have some experience w/ Zex.

Well, if you want to go with the name brand "NOS" you will not find one specific to the Contour anywhere. You will have to get a dry NOS kit made for a 5.0 'stang. You can find em anywhere, mostly e-bay for a few hundred bucks. Bad part is, the NOS kits have seperate solenoids, and relays and stuff everywhere. The Zex universal kit is a great deal. Get one on e-bay anywhere between 300-500 bucks. They are nice. The solenoids and relays and wires are all in one box, making the install a bit cleaner, not to mention nicer. Regardless of what anyone tells you, steer clear of a wet kit. Our engines do not like the wet kits. One question for you. Are you familiar with N20? If not, do some research on it first. See what it entails. If you are gonna do it, do it right. Any shot over 75 HP realy needs to have your timing retarded (like Eric........retard) a few degrees as well as some sort of help with a fuel pressure boost. Also, you have a 99.....that car does not have a FPR (fuel pressure regulator) if I am correct. That makes it very hard to tap into the fuel pressure to give you accurate fuel levels when on the juice. Also (I know, lots of "also"'s) you'll definatley need a A/F guage to help you out when tuning it. I know with out mine, I would have destoyed my engine by now. You will have to buy new plugs as well. Unless you are running copper ones now, new plugs (1 step colder than stock) are a must. This helps with the detonation. Also, the juice ain't cheap. Anywhere from $2.50 -$3.00 a pound, and most fills being about 8-10 lbs. A full bottle will yield you about a 90 seconds of N20 on a 65 hp shot. If you have any questions, PM me or e-mail me at Neil119@earthlink.net
