This may be inappropriate to ask here, but I'm trying to find a good deal on a Contour SVT. Actually, I'm just trying to find a Convtour SVT period. These things are pretty hard to come by, and I want one BAD! smile

I found one in my area ($13,950 internet price at Cars.com, Dealership in Maitland, FL) that looks fabulous, perfect paint, beautiful interior that looks like it was barely sat in, and only 29,000 miles. Couldnt get financing on it, but it's there if anyone wants to have a go at it.

Anyhow, if anyone knows where one can be found at a dealership or any place that finances (sorry, no private sellers), I'd appreciate the info. I want one - BAD - and I was very upset that I couldn't get this one. In the end it was a matter of my down payment being about $2000 less than what I would need to get a decent monthly rate because they were (IMO) lowballing me on my trade-in. I think it would work out better at a different place.

If anyone knows of a lot that has one, please let a SVT-desiring Floridian know! smile

I don't Yahoo.

When I was shopping for a Mystique V6 5-speed, I simply hit the Internet everyday. It took about 2 months, but a 1995 Mystique LS V6 5-speed showed up on a dealer's site... it had just been traded in a few days before... I stopped by the dealer after work, test-drove the car, and bought it on the spot.

You just have to be patient, and be ready to buy when the time comes.
