It's under the HOW-TO section of the mods FAQ...

if you need a how-to to install springs, i don't think you should do it... those things are like rockets when they are compressed. at least get someone else who knows what they are doing to assist... or maybe you should just watch...

i am offically a troll... so take my information and advice with a grain of salt.

Hey, I installed H&R springs and KYB gas struts in my car. I did all the work myself, and it is not as "gruling" as its made to be. If everything works smoothly you could have it done in like 5 hours. Please look at my install process - Spring/strut installation
What do ya think?

Well, I did it!! A new CEG'er and myself did his rears(he had done his front previously), and all 4 corners on mine. This job is not for the faint of heart, let me tell you. eek It took about 10 hours to do all 6. One tip I would give is only use a pickle fork if you absolutely have to. I could push on the lower control arm?(the one with the ball joint on it) by hand. I ended up screwing up the boot on the drivers side. I am going to buy struts, pay to have those put on, and have them replace the boot. My car is been in CA since it was new, so I didn't have any rust issues. The part that probably took the longest was getting the ball joints back in. We didn't use spring compressors eek !! It's pretty crazy I know, but we had some cargo straps to hold the spring down so parts didn't go flying that far. All in all, it did go pretty smooth, it was just a lot of work. I am sore all over, and I lift weights so go figure!! Would I do it again? Probably, although it won't be for awhile unless I am getting paid to do it.

Performance wise I haven't had a chance to really go flog it, but there is barely any body roll now. I put H&R's on, and my buddy put Intrax on. His back end sits lower, but he has a 300lb box in the back.

Anybody else who is going to do this mod themselves definitely needs to read and heed Anastazi's write up!!

I used a bottle jack and a big hammer. It was too easy.
