Anybody either know how to or know a good shop that has experience with the SAFC install? Would like to do this at some point (possibly soon) but since I am no electrician would like an install plan first.. Thanks

It is quite easy for anyone that can solder to install, once you have Aussie's How To. I forget where it is, since I have a soft copy on my HD. Its also really easy to screw up and accidentally solder to the wrong wire if you are not careful (uh, yeah, me am smrt). Basically, any shop that can install a car alarm could do it, but since it entails hacking into the PCM harness I would be careful about who you pay to do it.
Search in the Performance forum for Aussie's How To and you are golden for an install plan.

I agree with PA 3L, it isn't a matter of ability as much as just taking the time and care that only the owner has for the car.
I'm am definitely not an electrician either, but it isn't nearly as hard as you would think. Luckily, all the wires you have to deal with, I was able to get enough slack on to get a nice free space to sodder on. Besides, as computers play an increasing part in tuning, developing these types of skills will benefit you in your tuning future (at least that's how I look at it.) It's all a matter of practice and confidence.
By the way, I am dropping my car off at Altered Atmosphere tomorrow to get my S-AFC tuned, I'll definitely report back about how it goes. It's gotta be better than now. I just got my car inspected in Pennsylvania (15mph dyno) and pulled over 200ppm on HC's! A Contour putting out raw gasoline at 2500rpm, no way! (Just kidding, actually some guy said he finally stopped his from running rich down low opening up the upper and lower intakes a bunch. Maybe some day.)

EDITED to make Modertaor Andy W. happy: Dan, I spoke to JJ (Lightning guy) a couple weeks back and he said he hasn't installed the Apexi on a Contour, but said it should be straightforward and would offer a small discount on installation for the first couple Contour installs. He said he has access to a dyno ($150/hr) and can tune it for you, too. Try giving JJ a call at 410.259.8737, and tell him "Pete from CEG, who called you a couple weeks back" told you to give him a call. Good luck! ~Pete
