Hey all, just curious, are the Xenon Plasma White bulbs legal in NJ? Says on the side that they are for off road/show purposes. I was wondering if anyone knew what NJ's rules were. I bought the 9005 (100W) 9006 (80W) and 893 (50W). These are the ones they are selling on MidnightMoose.com Thanks in advance.

Well I doubt a cop will give you a ticket but be careful. Most cops can't tell the difference. If they are very blue or something they might pull you over for not having white lights (in accordance with law).

Thanks. I installed them, and they look to be pretty white. Question though. Is replacing the fog lights on the SVT a pain in the butt, by going through those two plastic panels on the bottom? Thanks again.

Sammy .... I got done with mine about 10 min. ago. Same place Moose. Took forever to get the Low Beams in. They didn't want to sit right at all. Had the same problems with the fogs. Hardest part in doing the fogs was getting that plastic piece (at least half of it) apart. Other than that a cake walk. Enjoy, BTW I like the look. Fogs much brighter now.

Actually you can get to the fogs, by turning the wheel all the way to the right for the left fog and vice versa for the right fog. Or, you can hit a ground hog at 80 MPH, because you did not see the ***** due to the crappy ford lighting and lose your lower rock deflector shield(Which is 83.xx total). Now you have easy access to the fogs. Sorry for the rant.... smile

Sammy, what part of NJ are you from?? I'm from southern NJ (AC area) but am now in central jersey (new brunswick). In both areas I have seen trouble with those lights. A friend of mine has gotten two tickets so far on his cavalier. And they're not cheap tickets, in the 2xx range. I think for the most part you're probably ok but it really depends on where you are and how the cops are. They're strict as hell up here so I'm not chancing it, AND I wanna get my windows done all the way around but I can't because of them! grrr mad

The fogs are easy as hell to change. My biggest problem was getting under the car (no jack here). Just pop off the little window things underneath the car and reach in and twist the light outa the housing. Very simple. I upgraded to the 50w 885's. It's a nice bright light.

SVTour98, I live in Middletown, in Monmouth County, so maybe I'll have a problem. If it turns out to be a problem, I'll just switch back, I don't need the hassle, especially in Middletown  Thanks for the warning though.
