Emissions Q - I doubt it. If it does, it has to be a miniscule amount.

I just did that, I didn't pay attention to how much bigger I went with though. It's too much of a compromise now, still a bit sluggish, and the revs still hang too much for my liking. It's so much easier driving with the fix, like how it should drive. When I was taking it out, I was explaining the problem and the fix to my dad, he commented that whoever came up with such a simple solution must be pretty smart, I agree. When you think about it, this is probably the best mod ever discovered for our cars. Thanks to Ray.

*shrug* eh why not? unless someone is going to rush in with dire warnings about why this is a bad experiment.

ESC, I opened my hole up about 1/64th of an inch...made a difference, but still kept the hang outta there. You might have opened it up too much.

I haven't noticed any effect on MPG...

EPBurn - Can't wait to hear your results. Never heard anything from someone whos done this on an ATX.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I hated this mod. I find it much easier to shift smoothly w/o it.
First stick shift car I've ever driven if that has anything to do with it.

YES it works and is beneficial, unless you don't like engine braking. I used the 7/32" size I believe in my ATX SE
