Has anybody gotten one-touch down to work for the passenger window?
From what I can tell, it looks like it's only a relay and if so it shouldn't be too big of a deal to splice it in.
Assuming they're not too much $$, I'm thinking of buying 2 and adding one to the driver's side switch and one passenger side switch.

Yes, I used search. Nothing definite.

Both my front windows are one touch down and up. It was part of the window module that came with my alarm. I'm sure it would work without the alarm. It is a DEI 530T Window Automation System.Hope this helps, Tim

Isn't automatic up a little dangerous? I'd hate to think if you had a dog sticking its head out the window, or worse yet, a child's hand. I dunno, maybe I'm just nit-picking.

they have a limit reverse,if it detects a load on the motor i.e dogs head or neck,it reverses, the module does this not a padio shack relay.

Me thinks 2 relays (possibly) would be needed... Fact- if you remove the front passenger side switch, that window will NOT go up or down via the drivers side controls. This is why I figure the need for 2 relays. One on the drivers side switch and one for the passenger side switch. This is assuming, of course, you would want ~both~ the driver and passenger to be able to take advantage of the express down. One relay on the drivers side controls would do the trick for the driver, but I dont think the passenger would be able to benefit from it.

As far as Tim's express up/down.... Its via the alarm remote control. Don't think he has the ability to express down the pass window via the switch inside. As far as a dog or kid in Tims car.... That will NEVER happen, eh Timmy?

Thats all I know.

Actually, The drivers side switch is the only one that controls both drivers side and passenger side express open and down, Besides the alarm.

Hey.
Do you really want that for the passenger? I mean, their comfort is of no importance to a Contour driver!!! wink
It probably would only be a relay. I even thought about doing this mod, but realized that it would be too easy on the passenger. I'm the driver, that's all that matters!
cool

Do we really have to do the rating system?

My passenger is usually a Contour driver too wink I'm tired of my wife always saying "Why doesn't one-touch down doesn't work on my window too..."

That, and Hightower's express open mod for the moonroof spoiled me. I usually drive with front two windows down and the moonroof open. Now it's click, click, hold and I want click, click, click!
