I'm sending this out to all Unorthodox clutch owners. Has anyone experienced their new clutches starting to catch when the pedal is close to the floor. Sometimes my clutch starts to catch early and then doesn't engage until the pedal is near the top. It doesn't seem normal, but maybe it's an aftermarket thing. I talked to Unorthodox and they said the release bearing was probably not preloaded. Our cars have a hydraulic self-adjusting clutch so that shouldn't be the problem. Just polling the audience and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, yes, it does happen to me.
About 1 out of every 30 times it happens.
Kinda annoying, but what can you do...

Also, when the clutch/tranny is cold, pulling away in 1st gear, the clutch 'moans' loudly.
Only moans when pulling away in 1st gear, clutch slightly engaged.
Once the tranny/clutch warms up, no noises whatsoever.

Good call, JVT. I forgot to mention the moan. Mine is pretty subtle, but there once in a while during the first shift or two. Thanks! Anyone else?

I have had that clutch for about 500 miles now, and just recently, i have noticed a squeeking noise when i go into reverse like in the mornings. Im not sure if its clutch related, but thats wut it does. Also if i have the car in nuetral and its running there is a smalling like ticking/clacking noise heard from the drivetrain area, once u engage the clutch it goes away, they have adjusted it to no avial...and some nights out of the blue, the thing will just start to slip..who knows way, park the car, the next day its fine....it has only did that twice tho.
Any suggestions

It's great. No problems at all. Still has the stock "feel" to it but the travel of the clutch is less (engages alot better then stock). I'm happy with it totaly! And for $300 its a great replacement from stock which is around the same price.

I got mine from Spmotorsports.com. Although I'm not sure if they are still doing the OEM clutch and just going with the street one. Or its the other way around I cant remember. Good clutches though in my opinion, I've had it now for well over 20k miles.
