This might be a dumb question, but since a Borla Echaust system costs so much I thought I'd ask anyways. Does the bracket that is discussed in the FAQ for mounting an SVT exhaust on a non-SVT also work for mounting a Borla on a non-SVT? Wanna make sure I can do this.

I don't see why not. The Borla system uses the same hangers that the stock SVT exhaust uses. If you are going to spend any money on replacing your stock SE exhaust, you can do better than SVT. But, if you happen to come across an SVT setup for free, get it! smile

Yea, I looked at getting the SVT, but to get one I'd have to have someone ship it, and they'd probably have to cut it. I'd rather just get something new, and something with a good warrenty since the winters here in Syracuse are rough with all the salt they use.

Yes. I have the Borla on my 96. The hanger locations on the Borla are the same as for the stock SVT exhaust.

I had the same thought, too, about my choice in exhaust systems. I figured, if SVT guys are replacing with Borla and Bassani et al, why should I upgrade to their second-best? I don't plan to make too many upgrades, and I figured it was worth a little extra to be completely satisfied.

I will say, though, that on the non-svts, the SVT exhaust looks a little better. More subtle.

Check my profile for a pic.

I do have to say that after looking at how the Borla looks on a non-SVT that I'm a little more hesitant about getting one for mine.
