Just did the blower motor resistor recall on my car during lunch with the help of a bud with a soldering kit. It took us 15 minutes and now all 4 positions on my fan work again!!!.. Yeah!!!!!

Now I have to figure out the fog light thing. Maybe I will just replace the bulbs at Elky's during the DMD meet. I am sure some of you have experience troubleshooting the assembly for possible water leaks.

Can I just get the bulbs anywhere???? Autozone??? I think I am going to go with the 50 watt version. 880/893 correct???

893 are the 38W stock, 885 are the 50W bulbs.

I did the 50W bulbs a while back and have had no problems so far - but I don't use them when it is 90 degrees out or stop and go traffic. Mostly night and highway driving for the most part.

unfortunately, i wasn't smart enough to figure that out right away. Elky acutally discovered that my lenses were a little warped a while back. Since then, I've been doing like you have and no problems with melting.

if you use it at night while you Actually DRIVE, the air should prevent it from melting.....

then again - just stop being so friggin cheap and buy the PIAA's!! eek laugh laugh

DO NOT put the 50w bulbs in your fog lights unless you want risk to buying new lenses.

If you look my lenses now they are all seriously melted and warped. I could stick my finger right through the plastic if i wanted, thats how messed they are.

My opinion is they dont really add enough visiblity to justify putting in those bulbs and risking melting the housings, plus they burn out a hell of a lot, well from my exp, i think its more just of a look thing.

So just giving you a heads up. smile

and if anyone wants i can take a close up digital picture to show you all.
