Ed, I replied on the other thread...but whatever.

Are you touching the bulb when you install it? The oil in your skin will significantly shorten the life of the bulb.

Just a thought...

I always replace bulbs in pairs. Sounds like a bulb with a weak filament. Try a new bulb. MOve up to the 50W bulbs at the same time.
