oh check that out mbsvt, Paul's giving you a near $20 discount.

The only thing about all of this (if you do in fact decide to buy the DMD off of Paul) is that Paul actually does not have it in hand to ship to you. All of the DMD's are currently at Elky's house. On top of that, for each DMD that is at Elky's, JSmith has the appropriate hardware for the installation.
Since Jay paid for the hardware up front for all of us, Jay would also have to be paid $6 for the hardware.
We originally did things this way because the group buy was for all the local members. The plan was to have them all attend one big install meet, so all the parts were shipped to a single address and we'd do the install at that address (Elky's).
since Jay was the first to have a DMD in hand, he went ahead and ordered the hardware for all of us along with his own hardware, as he would also be attending the install meet.

Sounds neat - but the DMD is pretty deep in the engine bay, so I think I'll skip the painting. You'd have to look hard to notice it. Kinda funny with all the other belt holders stock color.

we don't mind painting them all, but seeing as they're all owned by other people, we wanted to find out first if you all had color preferences.
I have a feeling most of them will end up black, which is easier.
smile
this is not really an aesthetics things, like Mike said, it's a rust avoidance issue.

Will the paint affect the balance of the thing? I guess that would depend on if they were being painted before or after 46 oz Margaritas!!!! eek
