my father and I just finsihed installing a new timing belt and related pullies in my car a little while ago. It started right up and was puring again. Took about 5 hours and we took our time and made sure everything was done right.
Found the pulley that was making noise, it was the tensioner pulley for the timing belt. The better thing is it was about to crack in half some time soon

. The plastic was cracked from the center outwards toward the edge  .
the old belt looked as good as the new one except the back was worn some from where it had been hitting the timing belt cover. That original assesory belt was also changed
time for a test drive
