not that anyone cares but I just got back from Germany and was wondering if anyone else has either been to or heard of the Volkswagen AutoStadt (carcity) in Wolfsburg, Germany. I went while I was there and was absolutely amazed at what i saw. VW has two huge Towers filled with cars, every make and every model...you walk in, set up financing, decide on options, and an hour later they send up a platform in the tower get your car, fill it with your options and rolled out to the front door for you! Also in the Autostadt is Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugati and Audi. While I was there I sat in a 330,000$ Bentley, i'm not much for super luxury cars but I must say i have never seen anything like it. Ahh, just too many cars to talk about in one post but I will post a few mondeo and Autostadt pictures when i have a chance...Ending vacation sucks but after 12 hours of travel, one cancelled flight, interogation by German Airport Police in the basement of Hannover Airport, and the freak sitting behind me in the plane who thought it was appropriate to tap me several times in the back of my head for no real reason, I am sure happy to be back in Western MA, USA...

Never heard of it but it sounds freakin bawlz! Re: your interrogation...they do a cavity check? Re: the freak behind you on the plane...I would have snapped the guy's finger off after the second tap and stuffed it up his nose with a clue stapled to it. But that's just me... Look forward to seeing the pix!

Glad to hear you had a good time.
Myself, the trip to Michigan was the furthest I ever went from home, well actually I think Florida is the furthest, but Michigan is certainly the furthest west I ever ventured.
So, J, did you happen to do any sampling of German beer? Did you bring any back to share?
Ed, I think we can all expect you'll do plenty of beer sampling while in germany.

No didn't bring any beer back this time... But between this summer in Germany and the trip to germany last summer I've consumed so much german beer that i really think i should either be dead or in a rehab... french--there for 2.5 weeks this time Monkey--no cavity checks but I had an ampty C02 canister for a Seltzer Machine and the German Police thought I was some kinda looney...funny to watch the airport personelle back away as i removed it from my bag to prove it was an empty canister! 0dysseus--Have fun in Munich I heard it's pretty cool there. If you ever have a chance to go to Hamburg check that out too...I went to the infamous reeperbahn (red light district) in Hamburg great party city, also good fish market, and um, Prostitution is legal and the ladies are just lined up and down the street and in windows, but I um didn't go there for that, no, really... seriously my girls parents live about 1.5hrs away from there and we just went to party...just avoid travelling with any females down side streets cuz the damn prostitutes will most likely want to fight because you are interfering with 'business'...it was crazy!!
