Well, we put the first part of the deposit down last week and have made the arrangments for the moving truck.

We are going to be moving to an old hotel in downtown Fitchburg. It used to be a five star hotel when it was first built. We have a one bed room apartment that is alittle bigger than our surrent apartment, but the bedroom is much bigger and there are two fireplaces, one in the bedroom and one in the livingroom. The cathedral ceilings are roughly 15' tall (you could almost play basketball in the the bedroom and livingroom). And the best part....I have a whole parking garage (with bearly any occupancy, security gates and video cameras)! No more walking out to a snow covered SVT in the winter.

We are going to be making the move slowly Saturday night (after I get out of the state police exam) and the big move will occur on Sunday when I pick up the moving truck.

Anyway, as soon as we have established ourselves in the building we'll have a meet at my place, pleanty of room, plenty of parking , etc...

That is great. I'm happy for you too. The place sounds awesome. 2 fireplaces!!! That should be cool. Are they wood fireplaces that can be used? If so, that should help with the heating bill this winter!!! smile

Good luck on your move and the new place!

Ryan, that's so great to hear!

Mike and I would love to come help you with the big portion of the move on Sunday if you feel you'll need it.
Let us know.

Thanks Mike and Kim for the offer, but I only have a few big things that need moving, I'll just force my brother to help. Besides, I wouldn't want to waste a visit working, I'd rather you guys come down and have fun!!

Its actually #520 Main ST. the Johnsonia building. I'm not really partial to Fitchburg, but the building is really cool. The owners of the building are active members of city government so they keep the place really clean, and I would imagine get the ok from the city on any reconstruction or remodeling they want to do, and crime is low.

Inside the building there are two 30' x 30' x 5 story tall atriums which are visible in the hallways, main stairwell and some apartments. They have glass roofs and ivy and flowers growing up the inside walls. There are some stores that rent out the front of the building. One is a jewelry store, another is a law office and there is also a convienience store there as well.

As for the state police test. I have a degree in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. My original plan was to work in the State Police Crime Lab. Plus the test only rolls around every few years (it was last administered @ 5 yrs ago) so I might as well take a shot.
