I figured I'd ask around and see if there are any paintball fans around... because there's yet another hobby of mine.... heh....
I'm not sure if anyone has ever heard of Airsoft. It's a sweet little... "pastime" that uses 1:1 scale weapons and 6mm bb's, powered by spring, gas, or battery. It's fun as hell, but, can get rather pricey.
If there's any interest in this stuff, let me know- I can direct you to all sorts of good resources. :-)

neat, never tried paintballing, but had some friends that did it a lot. hell I get a rush just from shooting this little thing: nerf gun funny you say that cuz when elky posted that gun stuff, I was reminded of this shooting range not far from where I live that lets ya come in and shoot all kinds of guns. (haven't checked it out yet, heard radio ads) I think it's somewhere off of Brown Ave going toward Litchfield, am I right dougy? was wondering if you all would also be interested in checking that out sometime too.

ALRIGHT!!!! Ok... next meet that's somewhere... out of town, I'll bring some of my gear and see what y'all think of it. Pretty much all of the gear is made overseas- Japan and Taiwan being the leaders. The Japanese are more refined, but, the Taiwanese can take a beating. It's a breeze to import, and shipping is a lot cheaper than you'd think. My largest order from Hong Kong cost me $35 to ship, and it took about 4 days. Currently I've got an M16 with an M203 grenade launcher, a beretta M9 (typical 9mm pistol), and a Heckler& Koch USP Tactical (for those that have played Metal Gear Solid, it's the same as the SOCOM, but, a smaller frame). Robin's even got a pistol of her own- a standard government Colt 1911 .45. A few sights to check out- http://www.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/index.htm Wargamer's Club- an excellent retailer in Hong Kong, but, I'd recommend waiting til you get home to check out the site. www.airsoftzone.com is a great forum to learn stuff on, as is www.airsoftplayers.com. There's a field out in Tolland, MA that is used pretty frequently for skirmishes- people go nuts with this stuff. Full camo gear, military issue vests and equipment... expensive, but, damn is it fun!!

I've heard of airsoft, and own a airsoft handgun. Paintball is a lot of fun from what I've heard.

Paintball is cool and all, but, hurts like hell. I know a few people who were tough SOB's and came back whining about it. ;-)
Airsoft has all of the fun, a little of the pain, but, it's just more fun when your gun looks... REAL!!
Taynar, what do you own? Where'd you order it from? Is it spring, GBB, or AEG?

i go paintballing every once in a while. not enough to go buy my own equipment though.... i love it....each and every time i go i have a fuggin blast!

Not sure. No guns here. I have heard shooting from the Calef Rd. area before, but just figured it was the trailer trash having fun.

man i must be loosing it, didnt see this post before, for the record I love paintball. I have my own stuff and would love a neceg-paintball match sometime. My friend just got his new gun, the brand new DYE gun, its sweet...but comes at a not so sweet price of $1100. +
