Definitely an interesting experience. The water heater just exploded and didn't stop for about 3 minutes! There I was putting clothes in my dresser when I heard a loud pop and water began spraying toward me. We called the landlord and someone can't come until tomorrow morning. Oh wait, just reread your post (you rent) ... ok! My bad There was one week when our water softener broke, therefore (somehow) breaking the water heater, and the washing machine went as well ... all in the same week! At least the water was warm...
