Its time for the first oil change on my car and I have a question. The previous owner used Castrol Syntec in the car. I would like to switch to Mobil 1. I can just switch right? Nothing bad will happen?

Also, do you have to remove the covers over the jacking points? I can see myself chipping the paint while taking those off this weekend.

the story about not changing between motor oil is an oil wise mans tale. You can switch between brands and between synthetic and non-synthetic and you can even mix synthetic and non systhetic.

Yes the covers need to be removed. Simply grab onto them up near the top, squeeze, wiggle and pull down and they'll pop right out. Don't wiggle or squeeze too hard since the clips are plastic and might break.
