You didn't by any chance see my SVT did you? I just went down there and I looked all over their lot, and in the windows of the paint and service centers, and could not see the car anywhere....I'm pretty perplexed!!! mad

Did you ask where it was? If my car came up AWOL, I think I'd be freakin' out a little 'til they showed it to me. [RANT ON] When I was in high school, I dropped off my '72 Mach 1 at Sears Automotive for a brake job. when I picked it up again, there was an x-tra 150 miles on it! I was ripped. I went in and yelled at the service manager for about 10 minutes. He didn't do anything for me...but I had a good time bad-mouthing Sears Auto every chance I got. [RANT OFF]

Sorry bout the prolonged rant...

laugh

speaking about service places. I guy I work with had his wife take their car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. When he went to his car the next day he found it sitting in a lake of engine oil. Apparently they had either used the incorrect or did not tighten the oil filter and the oil leaked out.

He noticed that the engine now is knocking and is ruined for the most part.

He called the number on the back of the receipt to complain to customer service at their corperate headquarters.

They told him to have the car towed to a dealer, have them diagnose for any damages and to have all the damages fixed and they would pay for everything including a rental viehicle of his chioce while his car was being serviced.

Needless to say he is thrilled, since the car is a '88 toyota with 220,000 miles on it. He is hoping that the dealer finds the car in a condition sufficent for the insurance comapny to total it.
