The junkyard that has the SVT parts is called ABC Greenleaf in Leominster Mass. The phone number is (800) 343-6122. Speak to Mike Calamari (Ext. 254), or Phillip (the General Manager) regarding SVT parts. Say something along the lines of "a guy from our club was down here the other day and spoke with Philip about SVT contour parts."

*New* Ford headlights for $40
*New* Ford SVT E0 rims for $100 a piece (less tire)
Used E1 rims (limited supply) $100
Used Exhaust Systems, catback, negotiable
Used Brake Parts (baco...), negotiable
*New* Pretty much anything, since they are Ford!

FYI... Greenleaf does not deal with brake parts. The best they could do would be to sell me the rear "stub" assemblies for the disk brake conversion at a cost of $125 EACH! Way too much for me. I'd be better off finding just the spindle. May Rob Parker could spare somehting...

But Phillip is extremely helpful and very easy to deal with. He's currently on the search for an Overdrive tranny for an MGB. laugh

I'm not sure, when I spoke to Phil, he just told me the price. We had been discussing the group so he probably kept that in mind.

FYI, I called Greenleaf talked to Mike "Cal" Calamari and bought an SVT exhaust from them for $100. Thought it a good deal and they had it ready for me when I arrived. Apparently they strip the car of everything thing deem worthwhile and then scrap it. I wish I had more time to look around; they have a minimum yard charge of $50. I was really pleased to find an exhaust intact. Now I have to find the time to get it in the car!

Anyone know what I need for a bracket for the passanger side tail? I read that a Taurus bracket would work but that has to special ordered and it cost >$30. Any other tips would be appreciated. I believe I can use the existing bracket on the left side.

Ryan, I'd give you another star you're already at max!
Thanks for the tip on Greenleaf!

Ric,

Call Bill Jenkins.
He has a kit he made up that has EVERYTHING you need to hang the Exhaust.
If you need a new set of Converter Bolts, ask Bill for them, and he will add them to your kit.

You may also want to consider having a muffler shop replace the Resonator with a straight pipe.
The Resonator is actually SMALLER than the SVT Exhaust pipes, and the only restriction through the whole exhaust.
It will make the exhaust a little louder, but the sound is SHWEET !!

Don't know, give them a call.
BTW, Greenleaf left the rear passanger side bracket on the exhaust I bought. I'm pretty sure it was intentional; all the other dampers were cut through except for that bracket. It was as though they knew I was putting it on a regular Contour and knew I would need it. The bracket looks correct and seems to fit under the bumper bracket bolts.
Also, that bracket apparently is available for 99 SVTs. Bill Jenkins was surprized that Greenleaf gave it to me as he believes the SVT brackets were welded to the cars, and that's why a special bracket would have to be made and used with a Taurus bracket. I haven't put it on the car yet, so not really sure it will work.
Any SVT owners willing to look under the car and report if it's welded or not?
Will let you know later after I get it installed
Thanks
