With all the discussion about engine failure and oil delivery problems of the 2.5, I 'd be interested in daily driving habits: how hard do you push your engine and how often?
When driving for fun, which is most of the time it seems like, 5000+ rpms is a given and 6000+ is not infrequent. I love the sound and the feel of that little 4cam engine revving up. These are not hard starts, just driving .... thanks jj

Damn, I drive my car pretty darn hard. Normally shift between 4 and 5k rpm. Alot of the time though I shift my 1st to second way into the 6's. I just can't get enough of the sound of the engine (and the KKM). can't wait to get a cat-back for it smile

This is probably why my MPG is CRAP! lol

Your all WEAK!

Redline almost everytime, and if best 13mpg.

Have had her since 12 miles on the speedo, and she is running 15.1's stock in the 1/4 with 9k on her now.

4,000-5,000 are normal under intown driving and gettign up to the redline in more open areas during shifts is not uncommon either.

HELL YEAH SVTPERFORMANCE!!! YOU ARE MY KIND OF DRIVER cool cool

You are all weak!! You gotta shift at redline as much as possible. I will shift 1st and 2nd and most of the time 3rd to redline. 4th and 5th depends on the speed limit.

4k-5k putzing around town, 5k-7k when things open up. I love that sound. 30,000 miles and no problems so far (knock on wood!).

17-19mpg. Never seen it in the 20's.
