How hard would it be to swap the auto trans for the manual?Found a contour with the manual so parts is no big deal.

It would be easier to buy a new car. Probably cheaper too.

need PCM, sensors, harness, cables, etc...

Plus you'll have to drop the subframe.

I have a better idea!! My first post on this board was about swapping out my auto for the 6-Speed Manual (From the Mondeo touring car). But someone said costs would be about $18,000 plus install and shipping....*blah* No new tranny for meeeeeeeeee!

Just get a Superchip and a shift kit. You'll feel much better about your ATX after that.

Transgo makes shift kits for our cars. They have a web site where you can read about their product. Others may as well. B&M makes shift kits for many cars. Once you know what you want, shop around. I just ordered a shift kit for an older van. One on line source wanted $110.00 for it, but I found another site that had it for less than $30.00 including shipping.
