I just put the order in for the parts, I have a oil psi, volage and a vacuum gauge on the way. They're all VDO, they seemed to be the closest match to the gauges in the SVT. Heres what they will look like:

Dark blue for the pod? What would be fastest, ordering the pod from SPMotorsports and saving $5 or direct from Lotek?

I think I'll do the brunt of the install at the mod meet..

Oh and the lettering supposedly lights the numbers from behind, so I order the green bulbs as directed by the VDO sales rep. The goal is to add the gauges I want, but make it look as factory as possible.

Also, any ideas on linking the dash dimmer switch to the gauge lights so that the gauge lights dim with the dash gauge lights? I thought about splicing into the dash lights but I'm worried that I'll suck to much power through the factory harness and melt something.

wow
I have no idea about wiring so I can't put in any input there.
but all of your ideas sound awesome!
that's gonna look great!
have you talked to anyone else in CEG that has the gauge pods?

ryan i would suggest autometer guages....they have a type with a white background and black bezels, like you have

VDO looks plain, or cheap to me (no offense)

did you see my guages at the meet?

The vac gauge will measure the intake flow. Mostly I had an extra pod to fill and this will be a fun way to make a needle bounce. When the intake pulls, it will create a neg pressure in the intake and make the needle bounce!

Couldn't respond the way I wanted to. Boss came in the office. Any way, the VDOs look most like the SVT, the base of the needle is black, like the svt, the backing is white, the numerals match the font of the svt, the numbers are backlit green like the svt, etc...

I looked at the autometers, but they looked to different for my liking. I have to keep in mind that I take this car out on business lunches and take out clients, I can't look to boy racer, I get in enough trouble as it is.

But like I said, there are only two gauges I really need and the third would be for fun, no o2 gauge was availible, the pyrometer gauge is like $150 and the SVt has the rest so, I will probably get the vac gauge.

who should I get the pod from, I want to order today?

SVT, your first thoughts were correct. All you do is splice the gauge lights in with the wiring for the stock lights. All of the lights are very low wattage/ amperage so you don't have to worry about overheating.
