Has anyone looked into having the two rear windows able to come all the way down?
I have looked at the setup and there seems to be a plastic stop at the bottom of the track that the window slides along. Would there be anyway to extend this to allow the window to go all the way down?
Reason why I started thinking about this was a few weeks back my drunk friend was trying to puke out of the window and nearly got his head stuck. At least he did a nice wash and wax job the next day.
Any ideas??
thanks
Alex

if i remember correctly it wont go down because the wheel is in the way or its for child protection.

funny story...i had the same thing happen to me...thankfully it wasnt in my car! that would have really messed up the leather!

Unfortunately, due to the curve of the doors to fit the rear wheel wells, it is physically impossible to have the rear windows go all the way down.

Chris is correct in that traditionally cars only had the rear windows go down part way to keep kids from climbing/falling out.

I haven't torn one of these doors down and realy looked at it to know. I do know however that the reason manufacturers do this is do to the shape of the glass vs. the shape of the bottom of the door (usually the glass simply won't fit in the bottom of the door). But if it does fit not only will you have to move the stops (they do need to be in there to stop the glass from tilting) but you will have to see if there is enough line in the doors glass regulator (the main piece that holds the glass that runs verticaly and which the motor is hooked to) to allow it to drop further down. Long story short: Take the stops out & hold the top of the glass, so it won't tilt, & drop it until it runs out of line or it hits something. Then bring it up about half an inch and make a mark on the channel were you need to put the stops.

Thanks for the info guys...
I am putting new speakers in all the doors so I will have a closer look. Just thought someone may have done it already.
In honesty just an inch or two would be more then enough just get someone head in and out...I have no children to keep from jumping out the windows so that is not a problem.
