I would like to know how long it takes and if anyone has gotten the Kit from SPMotorsports (from anywhere doesn't matter)? I am thinking about doing this while my EEC is getting worked on.

It took my 5 hours to do. Of course I ran the power wire inside the car instead of underneath. Pain in the ass to do.

Took me about 2 hours. I ran it under the car. I got the kit from Summit Racing, about $50. Its not a sealed box, so you should get a sealed battery.
Speed kills, but it beats going slow! Simon Langley Black 98 SVT EO (#2119 of 6535) 269.3 FWHP, 195.4 TQ 14.123 @ 97.36 All go, and no show! Vortech, Quaife, Driveshaft Shop Stage II axles, Magnecore Wires, Custom True Dual Exhaust. CDW-27 1/4 Mile Registry

Hey guys what gauge wiring did you use? I have a custom intake coming (buddy's a machinist) so I want to remove the battery and place it in the trunk.
And where did you locate the box in the trunk..back right...front left?

If you buy a kit, it will come with the wire, and everything else needed to do it. I'm not sure what the gauge of it is. I put it in the passenger side of the trunk, because my fat butt is sitting on the drivers side

Most kits have 2ga cable. That should be sufficient. Rod K.

Don't waste the money on a kit. You can buy the same battery box @ Autozone for 10 bucks (it's not that impressive anyway and I couldn't use half the stuff that came with the kit). All the connections you can get at Autozone or Home Depot. The wire is only 2 ga. in kits and very stiff. I went and bought 1 ga. welder's cable at a welder's supply. It's a little more expensive, but more cunductors (the more wires = more surface area of wire - the electrons travel on the surface of wire, so this is advantageous) and softer or more bendable). I then went and got some clear plastic tubing at Home Depot and slid it over the cable (with the help of some vegetable oil as lubricant). This tubing added protection since I decided to run the cable underneath the car. I used existing drain plugs (in spare tire depression for positive and trunk for ground) to go from the trunk to the engine bay and cable tied the cable to the fuel lines going forward. As far as croosing the engine bay, I just brought it up and across right at the cowl and on around to where the battery was. I used a gray PVC box from Home Depot that has a screw down lid and had all my cables go into it and made all my connections inside of the box. About 5 hours start to finish. Can get picts if you'd like.
