i can't believe that i'm even typing the words above, but i don't have much of a choice. i have a very good job opportunity on the line, but it means that i am going to nantucket...and for all that have been there you must know that nantucket is not the best place to have a nice, clean, low car. so i find this to be my only solution.
i'm guessing most people in here have seen the car before at various shows and meets, so i won't get into much detail. i will say that it is always clean, always. i have never missed an oil change at 3k miles. i just put on the potenza's last friday and the car drives so very smooth. about a month back i put on new front rotors. new pads on the front breaks a few months back. the car stops on a dime.
this car has been completely babied. i love it so much that you have to kick you feet together before you get in to it. but i fear that i will ruin it on the island. so this is my first post on the subject. i figured i would let you all hear about it before i put it up in the classifieds. quick overview, it's a '98 silver frost svt. stock cd player and moon-roof. static balanced stock e0 rims. no performance mods to date. very stock car. very nice car. i'm looking for $14,500. anyone interested just shoot me an e-mail at mjsully@collegeclub.com or you can post here. i have every receipt for all of the work that has gone into this car, including the oil changes. (all by date) btw, the car still has another 21,000 miles left on the warrenty and i'm pretty sure that it is transferable.

Wow, congrats on the job (what are ya going to be doing?) and sorry to hear about the SVT. How bad is it on the island? I have a hard time thinking you couldn't keep it. Plus what about when you drive it on the 'mainland'? hehe Your car is impeccable indeed. The price is a teeny bit high, and I only say that given the tough resale value on our cars. But, your car being in good shape, perhaps you can strike a deal with someone. Also, I guess that hagling over a few $ when there is potentially a lot more $ on the line with the job may not really be worth it. Good luck & hate to see ya go! PS: How about putting in an airbag suspension for that extra 'lift' when you need it?

He's away until Tues. night.... I'll never forget the time during the Fall Meet '01, the first four cars of the bunch were the only four colors available, EVER, for the SVT. !!!!!!!! You know, I was thinking about dropping a few $K on a snow plow. Maybe........... How much are you asking? How soon do you want to sell it? I will assure you I would be the one to take care of it. just hafta make the orange truck go bye bye first, or I will have two pissed parents, "what do you need with 3 viehicles?"

oh, I should have read your whole post first.
just a word from someone who already traveled down the road you are about to.
think some more before giving up your "baby" I still miss mine after about 6 months. If you can afford to keep two viehicles then I suggest you do. Next you need a place to store it, like if theres someone you know well on the main land, like a good friend or family mamber like mom&dad or a brother/sister will let you store it there, and then when its time for a meet you just hop on a boat and jump in the car and head to the meet, or if you feel like just taking it out for a good rogering.

Mike, snap out of it man!! Are you sure there's no way to keep her? I guess if you have no choice, then you gotta do what you gotta do. But even if you are on the fence about it let me help you decide. Take a good long look at this!!!!

thanks for all of the thoughts guys...this is not an easy decison, but i really don't think that i have many other choices. i really can't store it anywhere, and that just sucks! i highly doubt it will make it over there, i just can't see myself being responsible for ruining such a beautiful car. it is a sad thought indeed. thanks again for all of the nice comments, hugo, keep me posted. mike, that was a great day and a great pic. i WILL be there on this saturday for possibly my last meet. Jsmith, thanks for the sincere thoughts, but i really don't think that i can keep her. she needs to be in the hands of someone that will be able to care for her as she has been now for the past year. i'll keep you all posted. btw, she is running better now than she ever has. that makes it more of a difficult decision...

I've never been to nantucket but I just can't see how it could possibly be that bad that you can't keep your car. I think you should keep it and try it out for a time and see how things work out. are you moving to nantucket? I can't imagine you'd be commuting, but figured I'd ask anyway.
