Hi, I own a 98.5 Contour SE Sport, I have the 2.5L V6 with the mtx. In about 2 weeks I am going to be removing the stock muffler and the resonator, and replacing each with a Dynomax™ Ultra Flo™ Welded Universal Muffler(so there will be 2 ultra flos) Would I still be getting enough back pressure? How do you think this will sound, and how loud? I just want to make sure I am not going to have issues with this stuff before I order and install it. Thanx.

don't know about those particular mufflers, but it shouldn't be too loud with 2 mufflers in there. You should feel a difference in power, too.

General rule of thumb for your exhaust:

1 muffler = rasp and resonance, enjoyed by some CEG folk, reviled by others.

2 mufflers (in series, ie for a single exhaust) = good, rich tone without the buzz.

Sounds like you are on your way to a sweet exhaust.

He's right. It depends on WHERE the MUFFLER is placed, and what the total volume of the muffler is, that determines the sound and noise attenuation you get. A "larger" muffler (bigger than you standard "bullet") placed in the position of the stock resonator will kill all rasp and drone and give you a good sounding exhaust.
My pic for the resonator replacement is the stainless steel Edelbrock RPM series muffler. EDL-5503 is the part number.
