I installed the B+M and it now only moves forward and back but not left to right. My car is not able to drive at ths point. What the hell I can change a motor but not a shifter?!, I feel like an ass!Did anyone else experience this and what should I do to fix it. For those of you who did it can I give you a call to help me run through it? Thanks for any help you can give. BOS SVT

BOS SVT,

Did you figure it out? The first thing that I would try by process of elimination is leaving off the centering spring. I havent had mine on for quite some time. The shifter still pops back to home when in neutral.

Hey BOS, you got that fixed right? I was watching the other thread in the general forum. Good thing, cause SZ01 isn't very far off!!! Did you get your tranny looked at yet??

Yes the shifter is great now. The shift linkage was in gear so no wonder it would not move left or right. Thats what happens when it is dark and late. Only thing I dont like is the aluminum shifter color in the car now. I tried paint but it comes off easily even after I scratched up teh aluminum. Any suggestions? Do they make shrink tubing large enough to go over the aluminum that is showing. (Have on my own shift knob not the B+M) Tranny is not any louder so I dont want to take a chance and not have my car for the meet. Thanks guys and talk soon. BOS SVT
