Sup all,
My little brother is doing a report on New Jersey, dont ask me what, cause I never asked him. Anyways, he is on the part of laws, and thought it would be cool to add some stupid/dumb laws. So, I have some here we have found, but dont know how old they are, can you help us out? We need to know if they are still valid:
? You cannot pump your own gas. All gas stations are full service and full service only
? On a highway you can not park under a bridge
? It is against the law to "frown" at a police officer
? If you have been convicted of driving while intoxicated, you may never again apply for personalized plates
? It is illegal to offer whiskey or cigarettes to animals at a local zoo
? Raw hamburger may not be sold
Some of these seem so stupid, help me out
I'll start up from the bottom.
Raw hamburger may not be
served, as in at a restaurant.
The zoo law applies to the township of Manville only.
DWI thing is true.
Frowning at a cop is supposedly illegal, I've never seen anyone ticketed for it though.
Bridge thing is true. You can not park your car under a bridge. Might have something to do with the water under it though. There is a law in section 39 somewhere that does forbid this though.
There is not ONE self-serve pump in New Jersey. New legislature is trying to change this though.
