I was thinking of ordering a set of Mintex brake pads. Does anyone know what it costs to get this stuff across the border? (duties etc.)  Or are there any dealers in the GTA that would be more cost effective? Thanks for any feedback.

Most items across the border are only + GST PST. I brought my new wheels & tires across and had to pay the tax only. When I had my Koni's shipped across the border I paid duty because they were manufactured in Europe. Hope this helps.

It also depends on the method of transport too. Most courier companies will also charge you a brokerage fee for bringing items across the border for you. Originally posted by SVTFern:

You are correct sir. Also, just shipping to Canada minus the brokerage fees are incredibly high. My wheels and tires cost me 65$ US to ship to BUffalo. If I had shipped them to Mississauga it would have cost something like $110 US plus about $47 CDN for brokerage fees. SO for the cost of some gas I saved a bundle by having it hold for pick up in Buffalo. Usually high cost items are worth while from the US but lower cost items are not.
