Anyone here have the dashboard recall done on their SVT? I was wondering which dealership in the GTA might have had experience doing this before, so that I might reduce my chances of ending up with a dashboard the squeaks like crazy or something unfortunate like that.

I did mine at Donway Ford but I'm waiting for the second one now since the first replacement wasn't put on properly, that was 3-4 months ago. Oh well it's not my money, let's see if they could get this right the second time. In other words I don't recommend Donway Ford.

I had mine done by markville ford and now it is all wavy where they clamped it. thanks for reminding me about that. Now I have something else to take up with them. I probably should have shown it to the guys at Donway when I showed them the rust on my car that Markville told me to just "polish" it off.

You think they'd just give me the new dash and let me install it myself? The Chilton's outlines the procedure and it doesn't look TOO bad...from what you guys are saying I might have a better chance doing it myself than if I give it to a dealer...

No, they will not give you the part to do that yourself.

Don't know if this helps any but on my Mystique, I had the repair done at Oakland Lincoln Ford. QEW/Trafalgar. No problems since. If you only want an SVT shop, try Dixie Ford. Their sales staff sucks, but I've had good experience with the service shop.

Does yours have little waves or depressions that look like they are from clamps or does it look like it is brand new?
I hate Markville Ford.......

To be honest that the best service i have ever had has been with Cruickshank Ford on Weston Road Just go in and talk to Monique McKenzie She is the best, Tell her Vishal sent u

I had my second dash repair done yesterday and it looks worst then the first repair after about 4 months. Now I complained and they are going to try to speak with ford and get me an entire new dash. WOW 3-4 weeks ago a new engine now a new dash, soon a new car, can't wait.
