I dunno about you guys but to me it seems that everyone is selling their tour, even GHOSST! .. to me it seems really sad, since the Contour is a great car and a great ride for the money. Coming from a poor students perspective I still have a year to go before I pay it off, but in that once a month that I get to drive it, I love it!!... I guess when you have more money and the opportunity to buy new it becomes more of a necessety? I dunno, but I plan on spending lots and lots of money into the Tour and enjoying it when I finish school and find full time work. Maybe its the thought that you have to upgrade the car to get it to its full potential that draws many ppl to buy new cars that already are at full potential.. hmm maybe I'm ranting... but I love the tour, love CEG, and its going to be really sad that all the ppl that I met through here are gonna go to Nissan meets, or VW meets, or lexuses meets and not to Contour meets.

I'm still going to be around Martin. I'll more likely trade in my wife's ZX2 for a new car. I love both of our cars but the little one isn't very practical.
Without getting long winded (anyone who's read my site will know I can be), I love the Ford Contour. If wishes came true I'd own a touring edition in black with tan leather, a black E1 with tan leather, and buy my friend's 95 GL Zetec ATX for commuting. I really do love them enough to have three. Heck, if won the lottery I'd show up one day in an imported ST200, with a 3L swap and a Terry Haines turbo.
Mine may not be an ST200 but it's quite the little grocery getter regardless.

If you love the Contour you really should trade up to the Mystique, SVT owners excepted, of course.

Hi Guys,
I recently joined the CGE. Been reading the posting and came accross the GTA group. GREAT! Finally people in my area to talk cars with.
I've had 3 Mystiques in the past, 96 LS, 98 LS and my current car, 99 LS. All with the V6 and the 98 was MTX. Best car I ever drove. I still regret letting it go. It was on lease and the buy out was too ridiculous to even consider. Couldn't find another one so I went with the 99 LS auto. I really miss the leather and sunroof though.
Anyways, the reason I'm writing is that I'm having trouble fitting a OEM power antena to my car. I have a posting under Car Audio. The title is "OEM Power Antena, after the fact" If anyone has any advise they could share I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks,

I really like my Mystique and although it's tempting for me to sell it and buy an E36 BMW like I want I just can't part wiht teh car yet because 1) it was my first car, I have had the car since I was 16 (I'm 19 now) 2) I like that fact that where ever I drive I get people asking what kind of car I drive and other people saying "I never though a Mercury could look so good" 3) Everyone knows this car as being me 4) I love the CEG.
Hey Martin anytime you want to cruise shot me a message I want to meet some more conotur owners especially contour owners that are in students like me.
