i did a run to 100 KPH using my watch and did it in 10.5 sec. no mods done to my car its auto. 24v V-6 84000 km on it tell me what u get or what i should get .thanks jeff :p

The magazine tests for V6/auto are around 9.0 secs 0-60mph, and they probably launched harder (brake torque) than your run.

Thats about 2 seconds 2 slow.

You should be around 8.0-8.5 seconds 0-100km/h, and about 16.5 in the 1/4 mile, stock.

Contours, Cougars and Mystiques equipped with the ATX are about 1 second slower to 100km/h, and 1 second slower through the 1/4 mile than MTX equipped cars.

The MTXs only run 7.8 0-60. I don't think a hand-timed 10.5 is that off, considering magazine test drivers launch much harder than most people would.

i did a (brake torque) launch and did it around 9 to 9.5 sec on my watch . but i did hear a short buzz between 1 and 2 and 2 to 3 i did not like that sound at all .I was at WOT all the way until i hit 120KPH .At 6000rpm the shift from 1 to 2 and the sound was there , i did not see the rpm on the second shift . It sounds like grinding gears to me . thanks for your reply .
