Have you had the front spring shields recall done on your car? I had it done, and I got that sound. My friend also had it done, and got the same sound. Kinda like a *spring* *clunk* sound, when your front-end suspension gets compressed, right? (Like when going over a speed bump.) I took it in to Ford for the noise but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Ditto for my friend.

Hope this recall was on your Mystique and not your SVT because you have aftermarket springs on your SVT and the recall was related to the stock springs.

Right, right...it was on my Mystique. That's what I meant. By the way, since I bought the SVT I have no idea what recalls have been done on it...can I go to any Ford dealer and just ask? I don't think all dealers share a common database, do they? That would mean I'd have to find the dealer the previous owner used to get that information...

Hey legacy The recalls performed are stored in the Ford Database against the VIN of the CAR. Any Dealer can look up the info
