Ok at the track. Had to throw that in there. I launched against my friends Sunfire gt mtx and it was a close race. Should this be the case or does this indicate that there is something amiss with my car? BTW he had a KKM but then again so do I. I suspect that my fuel pump is on its way out so could that have played a role? confused

During most of your encounters at the strip, you'll find that you'll lose the 60' race as the Duratec engine doesn't produce a lot of torque without the secondaries open.

Once they open however, you'll find the little V6 can more than hold its own. Much like the S2000 Honda, the power doesn't come on until later in the rev range. If you don't pull for the whole 1/4 mile, you'll never advance to the next round.

Well, 0-60 times for the Sunfire are about 7.5-7.7sec. It looks to me like your only performance mod is the KKM, and you've got a pile of stereo equipment too. Lose the subs and open up your exhaust and you should improve.
