There are no screws on the outside of the license plate just the little lights that are connected to wires. Its a 99 SVT and Im telling you it has wires connected to the silver end thats sticking out of the license plate, it may have been a modification by the previous owner but they look similar to the lights on the side veiw mirrors. 99 Red SVT KKM Intake-Ground Control coilovers-Superchip**Rat Bastards stole my Si so I bought a S V T**
