hey, if all goes moderatley well i may be joining the ranks of the SVT folks.. with one slight difference.. I won't be in a 'tour or cougar S .. it will be under the hood of a ZX2. The engine bay size is identical, ( as per the guys at my local Ford dealership ), and I've got a shiny new SVT engine from FORD in waiting..
looking for some helpful folks who've done or who will be doing a swap like this, ( 2.0 to 2.5 ) thanks and hope to be a real member soon..

That will be very cool! When all the guys in hondas can't figure out how an escort whipped their azz! It makes sence that it would fit since the ZX2 was built off the contour line. Do you have to do emission tests in barrie? Just wondering if the 2.5 would show as a fail for a 2.0 on the sniffer. Are you doing the install yourself?

 the zx2 is a UK design so I was not too surprized when the Ford techs up here found that both bonnet areas were almost identical. BTW if you have a modified car, ( i have zetech mods out the ying yang, the interior torn out and corbeau race seats installed and the mechanice know I do SOLO I racing and they still don't ding me for out of warrenty spec activities..), if all else fails go to Barrie Ford. Barrie does have the testing but it's so casual up here for the tuner cars and hot rods that it's hard NOT to pass. I'm on plan 12 up here at Barrie Ford, I can pick up a crated SVT for $3400

nope, I'm on the ford buying plan 12 ( 25% off all parts). Howeer I was up to the Ford shop yesterday and one of the mechanics had an article about doing a 3.0L with 2.5 SVT heads.. 270Hp at the flywheel... anyone seen or heard of this article??

The article he is referring to showed up in the lates Muscle Mustangs and fast fords. I have an issue if you want me to make a copy.
It is the SVT prepped by the SHO Shop and there was lots of discussion in hte performance forum.

PLEASE ! and thank you that would be excellent.. you said it was the latest issue of fast fords? what month is that then? just incase I go into chapters and it's been switched to the next issue ?
thanks allot for the info. I called Sean hyland motors in woodstock and they had totally no clue and no interest in it .. so i was bummed. looks like I need to become the non 4.6L modular guy in Ont. ... : )
