Hey what's up GTA,
Just wanted to let you know that my Duratec engine was blown last Sunday evening, leaving me stranded on the 401. A piston shot through my block leaving a nice size hole, and did some serious damage to my head as well . No worries, I've got an extended warranty so they are giving me a rebuilt engine. The reason for me writing this is to get your input on rebuilt engines. Is there anything I should watch out for, stay away from, any hints or past experiences. That sort of ****.

The engine had 104000km on it and i was not red lining it at time of explosion. Doing about 140km/h, then quickly slowed to 90km/h just before the 4th of July fireworks erupted.

How about a 200+HP duratec??? Then I would have a reason to get a 3L block.

Man that sucks!!!! That's one of the nicer looking contours I've seen around brampton, and it blew the engine!!? Damn. Guess some of us aren't having the best of luck lately with our cars, huh?? I hope you get it fixed up good. And hopefully they do a good job. Best of luck.
