I know that the events will determine final interest...

Some of you may have heard talk that we were thinking of taking the National Meet to Minnesota for 2003. Now this started out as a rumor in jest, but as it got talked about, and as I mulled the idea over, and got a little input, I realize that it is possible to put a meet together here.

However, before we start getting into specifics and going through what the considerable work in putting together a meet, I want to gauge support to see if it is worth our time.

Again, I am totally aware that the choices in activities, and time off, and numerous other variables will affect final decisions. However, the ability is there for at least the normal events (auto-x, dyno, maybe carts) Wives/gf's can be entertained at the Mall of America if they get sick of guys and cars.

Please think seriously before answering, as I'd hate to see a ton of people want it or not want it, we make our go/no go based on that, and we decide in error.

We are thinking of an August date for the meet, but are open to suggestions...

Do you mean August of this year or next year?

I think August of this year would be way too soon for alot of people. Where I work, you have to give two months notice for vacation, and I just got off of a week's vacation! smile
