Hi Alex,
I recall that you were thinking about the 22mm sway bar (BAT?). What did you decide? I'm considering this mod too but I don't what to experience the clunking that some have found with the SCA 21mm bar.

Good question.
Some people say the 22mm might be too big, but I am not 100% sure on that.
I haven't researched the clunking yet so I am not 100% sure what will come of it. I fear it might be the end links and the bushing on these on the bottom end where it connects to the lower control arm (I could be wrong here but like I said, want to do more research). I know of someone working on an upgrade for those right now and will be available very shortly. I will let you know something by next weekend once I do some more research.
I was also considering for the time being going to a junker and finding a 95/96 SE rear sway bar as it is bigger than ours.
Last time I tried to inquire on the 22mm from SP it was a long wait and I suspect the same thing with BAT as they probably source it from the same Euro supplier.

Would be nice if I could try one first on a stock SVT suspension. My worry with the 22mm is that maybe it makes the car too neutral for when my wife drives it (not often, thank god) and it will swap ends before she can catch it. Any concerns about the 22mm breaking the mounts? Apparently they are not too robust.

Hey Chris,
After looking into this a little...I think that the reason that the clunking is occuring is due to the rubber bushings.
As far as the 22mm...I guess it depends on what your objective is. Importing one will cost a lot (over 200 once converting $US and brokerage fees etc.) so I probably won't get one as I don't think it is worth the price.
What I plan to do instead is a custom setup with perhaps the 19mm early SE bar, Enery Suspension polyurethane bushings to start. This combination will go a long way to improve the stock set-up.
The second stage of my setup would be custom produced end links and perhaps another custom piece that I am investigating at the moment.
I feel that going to 22 might be too big for the price. I can do all the above for about the same and acheive similar results.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will wait until a few more people have tried the 22mm bar before I make any decisions.

I ordered a BAT 22mm swaybar also, and they haven't got them yet! boo hoo. For the record, the dude I spoke to said that they are being built in Detroit! Unfortunately the hold-up is that because it is a specialty item of low numbers they have to wait until the production house has an opening they can use to break into their normal production so that can make the bars for BAT. They said they would be done by January. Lets hope so as there is only 1 week and 1 day left. ------------------ Regards, Anastazi sarigia@aam.com "Computer games don't affect kids. Chris, Have you seen this thread? http://contour.org/forums/Forum2/HTML/001504.html a little more explanation into the problem...and possible solution...probably good idea to hold off on this a little bit to see what results are acheived.
