When the phone company pulls the plug on the T1 at Matt's house, the server will be shipped back to Lance.
Matt/Christy/Lance, I'm sure that you know what you're doing, but I just wanted to say, BE CAREFUL when you ship it! I built a computer for someone once that I had to ship via UPS and not only was the case cracked, the HD had bad sectors because the platters bounced around and the motherboard was cracked frown My cousin works in what you would call the "sorting" department at a UPS depot and has witnessed a ton of people playing Football with packages, or just violently throwing them. The box I sent the computer in also had BOOT PRINTS on it, as if someone stepped on it, and a nice big hole in the side. If it's something valuable or breakable, it's FedEx all the way, because package insurance can't give you back something that's one of kind! smile

Is that 3 weeks from today, or 3 weeks from when the current T1 line get's disconnected (which might be in a few days/weeks)?

I hope they don't change the font size. Those of us *ahem* older members like this one just fine.

I woulda never lasted at that other 'tour place.

It's 3 weeks from when Andy places the order for the DSL line.

I expressed my concern about shipping the computer back and forth to Lance last night. I suggested that, at the very least, the data drives be removed before shipping (and hand carried to Andy's house). We thought about only shipping the main boot drive back and forth..

Can I make a suggestion although I am not sure if it will help. I know on some other sites that I am on, posts in their "off-topic" sections do not count for the post count. I am not sure if the OT section will return or not, but just a suggestion for if it does.
