Ok, I had some trouble after getting my 98 SVT, my wheels/tires were rubbing up against my wheel wells. After several repair attempts, i took it to the For Dealer$hip and they were baffled, the whole suspension was fine. After a three hour diagnostic they come back and tell me that while my rear rims were Ford rims, they were not designed for a contour, the rims on there were 7 inches wide, while they said my car called for 6 1/2 in the front and back. they look ALMOST exactly like stock svt rims except the middle was set in further and there was no lip around the edge. The place i got my car from ordered the correct rims mounted them today and problem solved. However I go to Tirerack to look at Rims today and i see that the matches that come up for my car are mostly 7 inches wide...what the HECK? please someone set me straight. Also, how the hell do i find out what the production # is on my car?
